Art School

I've realized that I've shared none of my homework from Art School. This is one assignment from Drawing II- My skeletal self. We did a lot of figure drawing! Understanding the bone structure and how it effects the surface of the body was the main idea.

I spent hours upon hours on this one. Graphite and colored pencil. The Prof. requested it and had it posted in the hallway for most of this semester. :-)

Thankful tree

The first ever thankful tree.

As promised here is an update on my Christmas tree covered in garland on which is written all the things I am thankful for...

Not represented on the tree is how many hours I've been working and was therefore unable to sit down and write thankful things out.

I did enjoy this artwork. I think I'll do it again next year. Perhaps then I'll be able to wrap it around.

Welcome to 2D art class. This mini was inspired by the concept PROXIMITY. Our minds automatically group things together. I made some dots, looked at it and thought BEE. So here is the first of the Gestalt Theory mini series.

Thankful Tree

I had a fun ART idea!

and the end result may look like art... it may not.

If you don't know, i love Christmas time! I have a new 7ft tree. I set it up in time for Nov.1st

I am going to take ALL of November to write out things i am thankful for. Those little papers will then make a chain of garland all around my Christmas tree.

I'll post again closer to Thanksgiving.

It's official!
I have been accepted to Herron School of Art IUPUI.
I will start classes in May. Meanwhile I'm applying for scholarships and grants. If you know of anyone who needs art work done let me know. Business is slow in my retail day job so now it the time to have me do art for you or someone you know. Thanks for reading my blog. Email me :-)
